Once in My Life

A story from a Trainee of Health and Hygiene Promotion Training for Religion’s Teachers Health and Hygiene Promotion Training for Religion’s Teachers organized by Cordaid in Collaboration with Health department of North Aceh that was held in Vina Vira Hotel in Lhokseumawe for two days left us a great and funny memory. Thirty trainees that attended the training are religious leaders and religion's teachers from 6 villages of Cordaid target area in North Aceh. Some of the trainees are around twenties; some of them are also in their late fifties.
His name is Tgk. Abdul Mutaleb, he is the Ulee Rubek Timur Imum Meunasah. He said that he really excited to attend this training; as he said, ‘as my age now almost sixty five years old but this is the first time for me staying and sleeping in a Hotel with a lovely room, soft bed with a TV set and I never dream about this in my life. He was grateful to Cordaid and to North Aceh Health Department for having invited him, giving a chance for him attends the training and trained him in important knowledge of HHP. Other trainees just put a smile in their face and nodding their head seems like to show that they also feel the same thing. Suddenly, one male in his middle aged said,’ but I still need one more thing. Others were curious and asked what is it? Then he said, I want my wife here too. All the people in the room were in big laugh hearing the last sentence.

At the second day of the training, when the trainees had to express his/her feeling about this HHP training and presenting their action plan after attending this training; one of the religious leaders from Ulee Rubek Timur expressed his opinion and how he feels during the training.
Eventually as one of his action plan after this training, Tgk. Abdul Mutaleb said, Insya Allah, I will put into practice this health and hygiene knowledge and also disseminate the health education I have got to my family, communities and my students (especially through the religious activities “Pengajian”).
